Andersen's Color Scheme

I know I have posted here and there on people's Facebook walls about what ideas I have for Andersen's room. I thought I would put them all here so everyone can visualize how I see things working together. I am not a sewer. I puffy paint. Thanks to another awesome Navy wife, we are going to knock this project out of the park and make it the most awesome thing ever made for a nursery :)  (Thanks Liz! You may not have known what you are getting yourself into, but I have finally made up my mind and we are sticking to the plan!!)

For the curtains... Stripes with a polka dotted trim on the bottom and the same polka dots will be used as a valance.

For the crib... I am not doing a crib bumper or anything like that. Just a crib skirt. It too will be in stripes with a polka dotted border.

Stroller blanket or just a regular take everywhere blanket... I would like two!  One featuring owls with lime minky on the other side. The other will have argyle on one side (if the fabric ever comes back in stock!!) and blue minky on the other.

I am so excited to order this fabric and have Liz get these HUGE projects started! I know it will be a lot of work for her and I am so thankful she is willing (maybe not anymore??) to help me out!!

So... what do you think? Or do I really want to know? ;)

24 weeks...

well... 24 and a HALF!

This week marks me being pregnant for 6 months! 6 whole months!! It has been an easy journey so far, but I don't want to jinx my luck for the 4 months that we still have to go. I feel like I am very big now, but (Sorry Shannon!) have seen pictures of others way further along and can only imagine being THAT BIG! WOWZER!!

To pass the time I have something big planned every month, except for August and September, and hope this will help keep my mind from wandering too far into being worried. My family is coming to visit me in Washington at the end of this month for my birthday and then I am going to Virginia a few weeks later to visit them. I am super excited about meeting up with some good ole' college friends and having a few days of "Two Pregnant Girls and a Finally Engaged Girl" fun! I am planning to get the nursery completed in August with the help of another very crafty wife and then laying low in September until the baby comes.

Up until now Jared and I have referred to our new addition as baby boy. We have had his first name picked out for a while (months actually!), but hadn't been able to pick a middle name. We needed something short since his first name is kind of long and it couldn't start with an 'S' or else his initials would spell ASS. Not a good way to start your life, eh? Wondering what this awesome name is aren't you?    ...

Here is the latest video from our doctor's appointment (if you turn up your volume our doctor is explaining what you are seeing). Look closely and you can see Andersen Michael Stolle opening and closing his mouth at the very beginning. :)  Such a handsome little fellow!
