Flight School Update

So, I gave notice at work this week that I would be leaving in a few weeks. That went well. They said they would be sad to see me go but understand that we are military. I think this is where I will look for jobs inthe future, ortho related. We will see. ... Jared and I have been waiting for his score (NSS) to come out so that we could see just where that would put us in terms of getting to go to Washington like we want. (Doesn't NSS affect where you get to go to some degree??) We found out today that his NSS is... 80. WOW! What a nerd my husband is!! We are thinking that we are definitely set to go to Washington, which is making us the happiest couple in the world and now we are getting even more excited to move on and FINALLY get to a more stable place in the next 6 months or so. Like i have said before, now we are waiting on the actual winging. I can't wait for visitors :) Yee Haw!

We are done!

Jared has officially finished flight school!! YAY! I am so very happy that he made it through and did so without stumbling once. Jared has worked so hard to be the best pilot he can be... and finally he made it. It has been a struggle for the last year and a half or so to see the ups and downs that come with studying every waking moment. We are finally at the point where we can sigh with relief. ::SIGH:: Jared gets his wings on May 9th and both of our parent's are coming to celebrate with us in Corpus. Neither families have been to Texas to see us so it will be fun to show them around our small town and let them see just how much bigger everything is in Texas.
Although I would like to get out of Corpus as soon as possible, not that I don't like this place, I think we are being stashed here for a month or so after the winging. The next hurdle we have to jump over is SERE school... oh how enjoyable that will be! :) We will be in Jacksonville, FL by early June (hopefully) and then off to Whidbey Island, Washington (hopefully) in about a year. I am really excited about what is to come for us, but don't want to leave a job I have come to love so much. I am hoping to find another job in an Ortho office so that I can continue in the dental field and maybe stay in the dental field for a while. Life is an adventure right?! We will just have to see what is thrown our way.
