J-O-B! Cake Decorating! GAS PRICES! :)

I am currently taking a cake decorating class at Michael's. Each class we learn something new and have to decorate our own cake. My lovely sisters and mother were the ones who persuaded/funded the class for me. I have only been to one class and it seems as though it is going to be great fun! For my class last Monday, we had to bring in an 8in cake that was already iced. So Sunday morning I wake up and start being Betty Crocker. I make my cake from scratch... then I make the class practice icing... then I make the icing to ice and decorate the cake... IT TOOK ME ALL STINKING DAY! But I think it was well worth it. Jared certainly enjoys the cake. :) (he better, I made it for him!)

The next really cool thing to happen this week is... I got a J-O-B! (Well, actually... a working interview, but we shall refer to it as a J-O-B!) I was doing my casework on Tuesday and checked my messages before I left and went to the commissary. There is a message on my phone asking if I am still interested in a position with an orthodontist and to please call them back for an interview. WOO HOO!! I wasn't even looking anymore... I stopped trying back in July. Well, I called them back and they said they received my resume in July and they had an opening. So I had an interview today and it went great. The office travels between 3 different offices in different parts of town and they work 3, sometimes 4 days per week! Friday's off... and then one other day a week off. HOW AWESOME! I can volunteer 2 days a week still and I can work in a paid position. I am so excited!!! Although I love volunteering, the stress of not having a job and therefore Jared and I having less money than we are used to has really gotten to me. Now I am thinking it was not such a great idea to get an SUV... let alone have 2 of them! Oh well. So the next working day for the office is Tuesday and I will go in and shadow another assistant. It is a smaller office and patients are seen at a more relaxed pace than the job I left, but I am so excited. So I am back to fixing teeth :) and like I said before I still get to volunteer! :)

One more thought... GAS PRICES ARE GOING DOWN!! WOOOO HOOOO. $2.98!!! YAY!!
That's all. LOVE Megan

PS: Biketoberfest is the weekend in Daytona... the Navy decided that Jared and our biker friend Dave should have a sim this weekend. BOO! Hopefully their sniffle-ees will go through because "family is visiting" PPS: I forgot to tell you, I got glasses! Reading glasses... when I read, after a few hours it gets a little blurry... so now I have reading glasses! They are really cute like Sarah Palin's. PPPS: I do a really great impression of Sarah Palin... you would never know the difference... call me, see how great it really is.
