Financial Counseling/Debt Mgmt Exam
This past summer I started working towards becoming an Accredited Financial Counselor. This entailed taking 2 classes, followed by an internship in the area of financial counseling. My strategy for completion was to focus on the classes to get those over and done with and then move on the internship. The classes that I signed up for were the accelerated classes and last 5 weeks each with one month off in between. I attended the first class online and passed that exam, by the skin of my teeth. I started the second class and was interrupted halfway through by life, got a little behind in my reading (by a little I mean 20 chapters), but managed to finish out the class on time. Even if I was a little distracted for the last 3 classes, I managed to sit at the computer and listen to what the professor had to say, even though I yelled at the other student's dump comments most of the time. Because I had a lot of catching up to do for this second exam, I decided I would schedule it for right before we left for the holidays. The exam was today and I have to admit I pushed studying off so many times, but managed to get some good studying done... at the nail salon getting a pedicure :) Just kidding! Although this is how I ended my studying, reading my notes as my toes were being painted. ... To make a short blogpost long, I was trying to let everyone know I passed my exam with a 94%! Wooooo Hoooooooo! Now on to the internship! I will start it in January with Fleet and Family.
